Drawing musical influence from his childhood favourite artists such as George Benson, A Tribe Called Quest, James Brown, De La Soul, Lou Rawls and Ray Barretto; DJ CMAN (Craig T. Wilson) today is one of Sydney’s most versatile, and in demand multi-genre groove selectors.
Internationally DJ CMAN has rocked dance floors across Italy, Spain, Portugal, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Mexico, Vanuatu, Panama, Bali, UK, and Korea.
He has played DJ support of creme de la creme International artists such as:
D’ANGELO, MAXWELL, MOS DEF, ROY AYERS, COMMON, DE LA SOUL, JILL SCOTT, ANTHONY HAMILTON, LEELA JAMES, ALOE BLACC, ANGIE STONE, ERIC LAU AND MUSIQSOULCHILD.
His guest mixes have been featured on the the world’s leading funk and hip-hop shows such as www.wefunkradio.com (leading 25+ years soul, funk, hip-hop show and the only Australian DJ asked to guest mix over in over 1,000 Shows). with family lineage 4 generations deep in the music industry, much of Craig’s youth was spent listening to records garnering appreciation for eclectic music across numerous genres; in particular Soul, Jazz, R&B and Latin music. Throughout his teens he took a keen interest in Funk and Hip Hop. Today he enjoys fusing these elements into his sets with a finely tuned ear, and the ability to seamlessly transition through genres, taking party goers on a memorable journey from Soul to Bossa, Reggae to Disco, Hip Hop to House, Boogaloo to Afrobeats, and all things in between.
