BIOGRAPHY

Four generations of music in the blood. A record shop owner for a father. Growing up on a staple of George Benson, Herbie Hancock, James Brown, Lou Rawls and Ray Barretto spinning through childhood. Soul and jazz were the mother tongue. Hip hop and R&B came later: De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest and Jodeci – teenage obsessions that never faded. That’s the foundation. Everything since has been building on it.

An original member of the infamous ‘Soul of Sydney DJs’ since the very first party in 2009. A “go-to dance floor filler and mood creator” with “infectious energy and signature funky feel-good sets.”

The philosophy hasn’t changed: read the room, build the arc, trust the music. As Soul of Sydney put it: “CMAN doesn’t just play music — he takes you on a journey.”
