RIP Angie Stone. A truly talented R&B and Neo Soul singer who tragically passed away last week. I was lucky enough to see her live at Soulfest in Sydney as a support DJ for the show, and she was truly amazing!
I made this mashup edit some months ago, experimenting with stems, but never put it out. It features Angie’s “Wish I Didn’t Miss You” vocals over Gregory Porter’s jazzy-house instrumental remix of “1960 What?”. This is my first mashup edit attempt. It’s not perfect, but it has always gotten a great response from the crowd.
Hope you guys enjoy it, It’s definitely vibey, with some horn solos sections and Angie’s butta vocals ….a lil something different!
