Catch me spinning a variety of genres during silly season at the following venues this month around Sydney. Back by popular demand for private functions at Common’s Camperdown and Matteo Double Bay, plus Dicks Hotel (Balmain) and Quarrymans Hotel (Pyrmont).

I’ll be in Los Angeles for the annual NAMM Music Trade Show in late January 2024 (my 8th show), and spending a week in Playa Del Carmen, Cancun and Tulum, putting together some DJ gigs with my long time friend, Musician and confidan, Bryan Parris (Caribbean Steel Drums) – see below for Bryans impressive resume.
I’ve put together the perfect DJ crew for Quarrymans Hotel over the next few weeks, each THU and FRI from 5pm til late. Xmas party vibes, lots of group bookings but open bars to the public – 3 levels available if not already booked out.
We’ll be playing a range of soul, funk, disco, house, rnb, hip hop, classics, festive tunes and a nice dose of retro and current tunes. Come join the fun at Quarrymans Hotel, cnr Harris St and Pyrmont Bridge Road, Pyrmont. Beats begin at 5pm.

The last time i was in Mexico was right before COVID. I did a few amazing gigs in Guadalajara the week i was there. This time I’ll be teaming up with my good buddy and musical mentor, Bryan aka ‘el rey’ – and i’m staying around the Yacatun to DJ in the vibrant nightlife that is Playa Del Carmen and possibly Tulum and Cancun if time allows.

Bryan Parris
Steel drums player, from México-Trinitario.
A published composer and songwriter, his compositions have appeared on discs by Randi Paldi, Boogsie Sharpe, Araz Lawrence, even on the soundtrack of a Disney movie called “Rock & Roll Mom”, as well as his own albums.
He’s also performed and or recorded with the likes of – Eric Gale, Bob Dylan, Sun-Ra, Wall Of Voodoo, film composer James Horner, Janis Ian, Randy Tico, Delmar Brown, The Neville Brothers, Tootie Heath & Macau, Taj Mahal/Pheroan Aklaaf, Charles Wright, June Millington, among others.

My CMAN Edit contribution: a bossa-infused, trip-hop remix of Kool and The Gang’s classic “Summer Madness“, a track I’ve remixed before but served it up with a few more ingredients in the mix, a fusion of genres that gives new life to this timeless yet nostagic track.
