Terence Trent D'Arby: Wishing Well (CMAN Edit)
Terence Trent D’Arby, is a gem from the late 80’s UK music scene and swept many off their feet with his debut album “Introducing the Hardline According To.” His hits “Wishing Well” and “Sign Your Name” were anthems of the era and had decent commercial success. As a kid I was mesmorised by his silky smooth vocals, my dad bought me LP home for me one day ..man i can remember every part of that album art!.
“Wishing Well ” is a track I”ve put into my DJ sets from time to time, but always wished it had a slightly longer intro, so here you go folks – two DJ friendly versions, with add percussive elements and slightly rearranged composition. The “64” version some house-heads will recognise the sample i layered in the background 😉
I wasn’t able to get this one soundcloud, so you can find both versions on bandcamp here.
I love bringing new life to vintage music and 80’s and 90’s UK Soul era is what i grew up on! Hope you enjoy …. Peace!
The other crazy track off his first album was “Dance Little Sister” which i’ve previously done some work on adding a little extra magic (check it out here or listen below …
