Secret Walls, the world’s largest live art event presented by MR GLASSES CREATIVE,
Monorex, Supply and 47Brand will bring down the house with its smackdown-style black & white art competition.
Badged as the “Fight Club” of the art scene, artists will battle head-to-head over 90 minutes on a giant blank white wall using only black markers and black paint to create their piece.
1st stop Melbourne at THE VIC in Abbotsford on Monday 6th Nov then heading up to Sydney for the 3 story climb to the STANDARD BOWL in Darlinghurst on Thursday 9th Nov
What is Secret Walls?
Secret Walls (formerly Secret Wars) is the World’s premier live art event. Artists or teams go head to head in a freestyle knockout illustration battle over 90min with the audience deciding the final winner. Inspired by Marvel comics, illustration and graffiti, Secret Walls is a fixture in the global art community for over 12 years and has featured the likes of Ron English, Tristan Eaton, Lauren YS, Buff Monster, Greg Mike, Nychos to name but
a few. What was created in a small bar in East London, has since spawned throughout major cities including NYC, Toronto, Hong Kong, Berlin, Tokyo, Copenhagen, LA, and Amsterdam. Years of hard work, dedication, and a strong following has meant Secret Walls has pushed the boundaries and raised the bar for artists on an international stage. Whilst constantly supporting and expanding its network for creatives ; one that nurtures and encourages raw talent and provides a creative platform to showcase their work.
The cool simplicity of a monochrome palette mixed with the invigorating effects of time
constraint has proven to be an award-winning concept.
Today, over two thousand shows have been witnessed by the masses in almost every
continent. SW continues to grow and conquer new countries and cities. The dream is to
slowly paint the world black and white.
RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE COMPETITION
• 90 minutes on the battle clock
• Only black SW special markers and black acrylic paint can be used as battle weapons
• No pencils / sketches should be on stage or used as reference
• Battles are judged by 2 nominated and neutral guest judges + crowd vote (3 point
system) (using a decibel reader)
• Painted on giant white walls
