PLAY BAR (FRI.12.AUG) :: Back to the 90s x New Jack Swing x 90’s Hip Hop // Feat. CMAN, SAYWHUT, D-COW

The news is out, and it sucks. PLAY BAR is closing shop, or at least changing management in September. I’ve had countless amazing gigs there over the last 3-4 years, it’s one of the few underground places in Sydney that push quality music with a strict ‘no cheese’ music policy. The owners have become my good friends and have worked their asses off to create an amazing space that have featured many of the countries best deejays and musicians, and international artists on their way through Sydney.

I’ve got two events lined up there before they shut their doors. This first one ‘Back to the 90s’ is always a sure shot! I’ll be joining local legends DJ SAYWHUT and D-COW on turntable duties from 7-12. Expect golden era hip hop, new jack swing and some rnb gems. Good thing about these nights ‘old school’ nights is we’re NEVER asked to play the stock standard hits, so we have free reign to take the music a little deeper.
