Diverse & innovative, a typical KEYIM BA live shows showcases MELODY, SONG, RHYTHM & DANCE melody, song, rhythm, and movement across culture and time, taking audiences on an exceptional and exciting musical journey into West Africa.

Embracing PERCUSSIVE as well as melodic tools, Keyim Ba offers a show of explosive and powerful African DRUMMING and high energy DANCE while capturing the alluring sounds of West African melodies accompanied by the Kora (West African harp), Guitar & Balafon.

With a rhythm section born in West Africa, Keyim Ba fuses REGGAE, FUNK, HIP HOP with AFRICAN TRADITIONAL MUSIC. Boasting an all-star cast, including renown percussionists Sibo Bangoura (Guinea) and Yacou Mbaye (Senegal), Keyim Ba’s unique sounds of beautiful traditional melodies set to funky baselines & beats, always fill the dancefloor.

The Djembe powerhouse and Kora player, Sibo Bangoura (Guinea), is joined by celebrated Senegalese percussionist Yacou MBaye (Senegal) on Talking Drum, Sabar & Congas; Jon Pease (Dereb the Ambassador / the Catholics / Declan Kelly) on lead guitar and Tina Harris on bass. Joined also by well known Sydney musician Blair Greenberg on guitar, Calvin Welsh on drum-kit and the captivating vocals of powerful soul singer Paula Baxter (Ghana) with Rachel Bangoura on the dancefloor completing the picture.
